Sonia Lamontagne hails from Northern Ontario and works collaboratively on various publishing projects with writers and with visual and performing artists. She also conducts poetry workshops in schools. Her debut collection, À tire d'ailes, won the Trillium Prize for poetry in 2012, and was translated as On Butterfly Wings (Bookland Press). Her second book, Comptine í rebours (Éditions Prise de parole), came out in February 2015. Sonia has earned an undergraduate diploma in French and psychology, as well as a graduate diploma in art therapy. She currently works at the Association des auteures et auteurs de l'Ontario franí§ais (AAOF) in Ottawa.
