Author and actor Erika Soucy was born in 1987 in Portneuf-sur-mer, on Quebec's North Shore. She graduated in 2010 from the Conservatoire d'art dramatique in Quebec City and, as an actor, has worked with directors Fabien Cloutier, Alexandre Fecteau and Maxime Robin, among others. She also starred alongside the heavy metal group Anonymous in P.O.M.M.E. which was produced by Productions Rhizome. Erika is the author of the poetry collections Cochonner le plancher quand la terre est rouge and L'Épiphanie dans le front, both published by Trois-Pistoles. She started L'Off-festival de poésie de Trois-Rivières in 2007 and is currently its artistic co-director. Her first novel, Les murailles (VLB éditeur), was published in 2016.
