The poet Angèle Bassolé Ouédraogo is also a publisher and a university researcher. She runs her own publishing house and won the Trillium Prize in 2004 for her collection Avec tes mots. She has published seven books of poetry and many articles on women, culture, social issues and politics. She is currently working on Traversées, the title of a collection that explores wanderings, travels and encounters ranging from Africa to Acadia and Ontario.
