Lauren Stiers is a Carleton University student in the English undergrad program. She is twenty-one years old, and has been living in Ottawa for four years. As an aspiring poet, Stiers has been writing for six years, and is the four time consecutive winner of the Literacy Laurels poetry contest. Stiers grew up in rural Windsor-Essex Country, a landscape that has greatly affected and inspired her poetry.
