Mike Montreuil's English language short form poems (haiku, senryu, tanka, and haibun) have been published widely in journals and books. His French language poems have appeared in France and Canada. From 2012 to 2016, he was the haibun editor of A Hundred Gourds. Also, during that time he served as the Vice-president of Haiku Canada. From 2014 to 2017, Mike served as First Vice-President of the Haiku Society of America (HSA). He is the editor of the Haiku Canada Review, and with Maxianne Berger, he co-edits the French on-line tanka journal Cirrus: tankas de nos jours. His last two published books of haiku and senryu are Dangling Modifiers (Alba Publishing, 2016) and his bilingual edition of the selected haiku of Jocelyne Villeneuve, Le poème inachevé /The Unfinished Poem (Deep North Press, 2015). In 2017 he edited At the Edge: Raw NerVZ Haibun (Éditions des petits nuages), an anthology of haibun from the journal RawNerVZ. It was shortlisted for the Haiku Foundation Touchstone Book Award. His latest haibun chapbooks, published in 2018, are The New Apocalypse and Long ago in a small logging town.
