Guy Jean resides in Gatineau, Québec. He has published ten books of poetry in French, the latest in 2018 at the Écrits des Forges, Une autre fois déjí . Guy has translated and published into French two book of poems: Ilya Kaminsky's Dancing in Odessa and Mariela Griffor's House. His work is anthologized and has been published in magazines and journals in Canada, Quebec, France and Belgium and in English translations in American journals as well as in two collections of poems published at Argos Books, Brooklyn and Marick Press, Detroit. In recognition for his exceptional contribution to the development of poetry and literature he has been awarded in 2016 the City of Gatineau's prestigious Prix Hommage and in 2018, was installed into VERSe Ottawa's Hall of Fame.
