Michaël Trahan is a writer. At Le Quartanier, he has published Vie nouvelle (2020), La raison des fleurs (2017, Governor General's Literary Awards, poetry category) and Nœud coulant (2013, prix Émile-Nelligan, Prix du Festival de la poésie de Montréal et prix Alain-Grandbois de l’Académie des lettres du Québec). He is also the author of an essay on the reception of Sade, La postérité du scandale (Nota bene, 2017), and a doctoral dissertation on the readability of literature in the contemporary French poetic field. He teaches literature and creative writing at Université Laval in Quebec City.
