Originally from Northern Ontario, Sonia-Sophie Courdeau has written three books of poetry, including À tire d'ailes, which won her the Trillium Poetry Award in 2012. In 2019, after completing a master's degree in creative writing at the University of Ottawa, she founded her own company to help people heal and transform through words. In 2024, she published the collection of women's voices Échos, which brings together the writings of five women from Ontario and Quebec who took part in her virtual writing club. A mother since 2023, she continues to write regularly in her spare time.
