Shannon Maguire's most recent collection of poetry is Myrmurs: An Exploded Sestina (BookThug, 2015). Her first collection, fur(l) parachute (BookThug, 2013), was a finalist for the Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry. Her work has also been shortlisted for the bpNichol Chapbook Award and the Manitoba Magazine Award for Best Suite of Poems, and has appeared in The Best American Experimental Writing of 2014 (OmniDawn), Jacket2, CV2, and Event, among other journals, as well as in four chapbooks, the most recent of which, As An Eel Through the Body (Dancing Girl), is a collaboration with Finnish poet Vappu Kannas. Shannon holds an MFA in Creative Writing (Guelph) and an MA in English (Brock) and is a PhD candidate (ABD) in the Department of English and Film Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University.
