Gabriel Robichaud was born in 1990 in Moncton. Trained as an actor, he also writes (poetry, plays) and sings. His plays have been mounted at various festivals in Moncton, Montpellier, Montreal, and Quebec. He has also produced two collections of poetry: La promenade des ignorés (2011) and Les anodins (2014), both of which were published by Éditions Perce-Neige. That second collection of poetry earned him a Prix Le Droit nomination in 2015, and a nomination as Artist of the Year in Literature at the Éloizes Awards. In recent years, he has been stage acting in plays, internships, festivals, and training courses in Acadia, Quebec, Ontario, and Manitoba. In March, 2016, his play, Le lac aux deux falaises, will be co-produced by the Théâtre l'Escaouette and the Théâtre de Quartier, and it is to be published by Éditions Prise de Parole. He has been living in Ottawa since September 2014.
