Amy Iliza
English
Amy Iliza is an African writer, creator and poet who made her debut as a spoken word artist at the OG500 slam competition in Ottawa. She fell in love with poetry after reading Tupac's The Rose That Grew from Concrete, and has been writing poems ever since. The influence of her upbringing in Canada and in multiple countries in Africa is flagrant in her pieces where she offers a different point a view on globalization. In a world where emotions are considered a sign of weakness, Amy's work aims to provoke them. It is clear that she is just getting started.
