Nyla Matuk is the author of two books of poetry: Sumptuary Laws (2012) and Stranger (2016), both with Véhicule Press. She was nominated for the Gerald Lampert Award and the Walrus Poetry Prize and her poems have appeared in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. including The New Yorker, PN Review, The Walrus, and Canadian Notes and Queries, and in the Best Canadian Poetry (Tightrope Books, 2013) and New Poetries VI (Carcanet, 2015) anthologies. She is currently the 2018 Mordecai Richler Writer-in-Residence at McGill University.
