Born in 1987 in Galicia (Spain), Gonzalo Hermo holds a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, and is currently teaching at de Department of French and Romance Studies in the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Hermo has published two collections of poetry: Crac (Barbantesa, 2011) and Celebración (Apiario, 2014), translated into Catalan (2016, Godall) and into Spanish (2017, La Bella Varsovia). His work has receive the Galician Youth Poetry Award, and the national prize for best book of poetry by a younger poet. He is one of the founders of the dynamic publisher of Galician poetry, Chan da Pólvora.
