Victoria Butler is the first female and youngest Poet Laureate of Barrie, Ontario. Butler is the co-founder and editor-in-chief ofThe Northern Appeal, a literary journal that focuses on publishing work from the Simcoe County and Muskoka region of Ontario. Her work has been featured in theActa Victoriana, the veg, untethered,and more. Her debut collection Old Prayers,a collaborative project with the Barrie Historical Archives, was released in August 2019. She lives with her cat and Bruce Springsteen record collection.Â
