Chuqiao Yang was born in Beijing and grew up in Saskatoon. Her first chapbook,Reunions in the Year of the Sheep(Baseline Press) won the 2018 bpNichol Chapbook Award. In 2011, Chuqiao received twoWestern Magazine Awards. In 2015, she was afinalist for the Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers. Her work has appeared in various magazines, including Arc, CV2, Prism, Room, Music and Literature, and on CBC. She is a member of the editorial board of Canthius.Â
