Michel Côté's poetry and art have won many awards and citation. His poetry and artist's books have been published by Éditions Triptyque, Éditions Roselin, URDLA (France) and Éditions du Noroí®t. His Blanc/Noir et Blanc was a finalist at the National Canadian Artists Book Competition and he won the Alcuin Citation Awards (Vancouver) for À force de silence. A Prix Odyssée finalist for Au commencement la lumière, has also won the Prix Loto-Québec for L'Autre Chine, as well as the Prix Le Droit for L'intranquille gravité, and the Prix Jacques-Poirier for Le dernier tableau rouge. Depuis, tout a grandi, co-written with Céline De Guise, received special mention from Le Droit, as well as a mention of excellence from La Société des écrivains francophones d'Amérique. He has taught philosophy and Chinese thought. His graphic work on paper is exhibited in Canada, France, the United Kingdom and Japan.
