Ottawa poet Susan McMaster will read from her new collection Grounded (Black Moss). She has published some 20 poetry books, plus wordmusic recordings with Geode Music & Poetry. She founded Branching Out, the first national feminist and arts magazine; is an original editor of Living Archives; and has served as chair of the Feminist Caucus and president of the League of Canadian Poets.


Her myriad publications include books, anthologies, and wordmusic recordings. She founded Branching Out, Canada’s first feminist magazine; has organized such projects as Waging Peace, which brought peace poetry from across Canada to parliamentarians for the millennium; and is a former president of the League of Canadian Poets. Award placings include the Ottawa Book Awards, Acorn-Plantos Prize, Archibald Lampman Award, Arc Poem of the Year, and Montreal International Poetry Prize.
