Dave Read is a short-form Canadian poet from Calgary who focuses largely on the Japanese genres of haiku and tanka.  He was a winner of the Touchstone Award for individual poems in 2016, and was included in the anthology New Resonance 11 for emerging voices in haiku in 2019.  Dave has self-published two ebooks, Fifty at Fifty: My Haiku and Rubber-Ball Days: A Chapbook of Lockdown Tanka, both of which are available as free downloads at his blog davereadpoetry.blogspot.com.
