Philomene Kocher is a poet and photographer who lives in Kingston, Ontario. She wrote her first haiku in 1991, and in 2001 added the related forms of tanka and haibun (a form that combines story and haiku). She served for 12 years on the executive of Haiku Canada. Her work has appeared in publications in Canada, the United States, and Japan. Her latest collection, still, was released in 2022 by Ekstasis Editions.
